Funding Opportunities

The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) makes funds available through grants to increase the capacity and resources of public and private nonprofit entities and others to develop a comprehensive community system that responds to the choices, capabilities and needs of persons with developmental disabilities (DD) and their families. The purpose of GCDD grants are to expand best practices and contribute to system-wide changes that support the rights of people with DD and their full inclusion as community members. Recipients of GCDD grants are expected to be ongoing partners bringing about change.

GCDD also offers limited funding to support conferences and for people with DD and families to attend conferences.

Dottie Adams Scholarship Fund

The goal of this program is to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by providing scholarship assistance to attend advocacy, learning events and conferences.

Conference Support Fund

The purpose of the Conference Support Fund is to co-sponsor and/or provide support to organizations providing conferences, meetings and workshops for education, training, policymaking, and advocacy activities in the developmental disability (DD) community.

Notice of Funds Available (NOFA)

GCDD is authorized to grant funds to public and nonprofit entities and to for-profit organizations. When an initiative becomes available, a Notice of Funds Available (NoFA) is issued for these competitive grant opportunities.
